You just bought a new phone or tablet. But what about the old devices that are piled up in your drawers?
Before you decide to sell them or throw them away, there are some very interesting things you can do with them. See below!
1. Security camera
You don't need a full security system to monitor a single room, a wardrobe, a drawer, or the box with your jewelry. A single security camera with an Internet connection can be ideal, but why spend money?

2. Digital frame
If you want to place a digital image on the wall, you will need to print it. Of course, thanks to easy digital photography, you likely have hundreds or thousands of large images to choose from.
Instead of trying to choose, turn the old tablet into a digital frame. You can place it on a table or on the counter and have hundreds of photos appear in order.
For an Android, download the Dayframe app (Free). Not only will it display your photos, but you'll also be able to pull in photos from Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other social media. Plus, if you have a Google Chromecast, you can easily stream your photos to your TV and turn it into a giant digital photo frame.

Tired of remote controls? You can activate your old device, and your phone will act as a universal remote for your entire home entertainment system.

If you have other devices at home with Wi-Fi capability, such as smart bulbs or thermostats, you can also control those as well.
4. For children
If your kids are asking for their own gadget, an old one is perfect for watching videos, reading e-books, and playing games. You can set it up so it stays safe. And if they break it, it won't be a real loss.

6. Alarm clock
Most people use their smartphone as an alarm clock.
However, using an old smartphone or tablet instead of a new one will give you the ability to disable any annoyance from notifications and messages.
