We've reported several times about dangerous malware being installed on smartphones through various seemingly harmless apps. IBM has launched a new version of its application, MobileFirst Protect, which scans the mobile to detect if there is any dangerous malware hidden on the iOS or Android device.
If the device has malware, it puts the device into a dormant state to prevent the malware from accessing other applications and services until the user contacts experts to remove the malware.
Finally, the IBM application automatically updates itself for new malware without the user having to do anything.
