The revelations about the actions of the 40-year-old pedophile who was arrested by the Cybercrime Unit in Peristeri while attempting to rape a 12-year-old boy inside a van are shocking
The head of the Cybercrime Investigation Unit, Mr. Sfakianakis, revealed that the 40-year-old businessman had raped a little girl in Athens.
The ruthless pedophile met the little girl through a chatroom and went so far as to cut her hair to make her look like a boy. After acting out his sick fantasies, raping the child, he abandoned her on the street. The incredible thing is that while the police located him and filed a case against him, three months ago, the 40-year-old was released by the competent prosecutor.
The result was that he continued to try to rape children inside the van, which he had appropriately furnished with a bed and sweets that he gave to the children. Police sources report that the arrested man is a member of a large child pornography trafficking ring and was even a trafficker and possibly one of the authors of the "pedophile's manual".
On the same day, according to the police, he would go in the van to 4 more dates with minors, which he had booked via chatroom. According to Mr. Sfakianakis' estimates, the perpetrator not only confessed to the dates he had that same day, but there is a strong fear that he has raped dozens of other minors.
This particular manual contains symbols such as bracelets, which have become the trademark of pedophiles internationally.
At the same time, in a parallel operation by the Prosecution Service, a second man was identified in Thessaloniki, who, pretending to be the owner of a modeling agency, was ensnaring girls via the Internet, whom he then seduced.
The pedophiles were identified as part of a police operation called "Chat Scanning." They were identified online and a regular case file was filed against five individuals, specifically four Greek citizens aged 33, 35, 39, 45, and one more, whose details have not been fully identified.
Interpol is also participating in the investigations being conducted into the case.
