PasswordBox can keep your passwords safe

9 out of 10 user passwords vulnerable to hacker attacks

The 10,000 most used passwords could access 98% of all accounts

Intel recently announced the acquisition of PasswordBox, an award-winning, cross-platform identity management service providerbased in Montreal. The service provides users with an easy way to log in to all their websites and applications from any device, without having to type or remember passwords.
According to a recent Deloitte report, more than 90% of passwords created by users are vulnerable to hacker attacks, with the 10,000 most commonly used passwords potentially accessing 98% of all accounts.
Experian found that the average user had 26 password-protected online accounts, but used only five different passwords. Nearly 37% of users have asked for help with their username or password for at least one website per month.

As a result of this acquisition, PasswordBox will become part of the Safe Identity organization within Intel Security Group. The Safe Identity organization aims to provide solutions that reduce the effort consumers have to put into passwords.
