A problem in the pricing software of British Amazonprovided a pleasant surprise to consumers, who for an hour last Friday had the opportunity to order products worth even thousands of pounds for the price of a penny.
As Engadget reports, the software glitch was noticed within an hour by Amazon, after it had gone viral on Twitter, which rushed to cancel the "vast majority" of the thousands of orders placed by its customers, mainly from the UK.
Today's announcement from the British Amazon states that the company is reviewing the orders that managed to be sent to the “lucky” consumers, in order to cancel them and also to appease the dissatisfied sellers who used the Marketplace system to sell products, and ended up with damages of thousands of pounds.
