A new webinar on the protection of users' personal data on Facebook was created by the information campaign Saferinternet.gr of the Greek Safer Internet Center.
The seminar, accessible at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NL08-ugbJvw#t=213, was created to primarily inform minors.
Another problem for privacy protection is the fact that minors do not keep their passwords secret
According to last year's online survey by Saferinternet.gr, 61% of teachers at all levels reported that although minors believe that they control their space, 65.6% of them state that they do not know the concept of privacy.
The above fact is considered particularly worrying, given that minors communicate mainly through social networking sites.
According to the same research, most minors do not know how to use the security settings on Facebook and other social networking sites, and when they come across a fake profile or a photo that offends them, they do not know how to report it.
The new seven-minute seminar entitled "Basic tips on properly managing our personal data on Facebook" deals with the following topics: privacy policy and terms of use, friends or acquaintances "strangers" on Facebook, maintaining control of the profile, reporting inappropriate behavior, controlling applications, limiting public information on Facebook, publishing photos and deactivating and deleting an account.
