Twitter's CFO , Anthony Noto, wanted to send a direct message to his colleague, but unfortunately he publicly tweeted what he wanted to say.
Mr. Noto, who took over as Twitter last July, expressed in a tweet his burning desire to acquire a company, destroying the takeover "plan" he had in mind.
The direct message intended for the colleague and tweeted said: I think we should buy them out. Are you scheduled to see them on Dec. 15 or 16 – we'll need to sell him. I have a plan...
Of course, Antonio Noto immediately deleted his tweet as well as the «plans of his». Twitter frequently acquires small companies with prospects that are based on micro‑blogging services.
Anthony Noto is not the first nor the last to press the wrong buttons. We should not forget former New York Senator Anthony (also) Weiner who accidentally posted a photo of himself in his underwear.
