Facebook is activating its new advertising platform called Atlas, which can, based on the behavior and preferences of each Facebook user, display the appropriate advertisements even when they are not connected to the popular social network.
Of course, with the new Atlas platform, advertisers are rubbing their hands, but it makes all users think, who can now clearly see that Facebook is "selling" their personal data and habits to advertisers without any problem whatsoever.
In this way, Facebook gives advertisers an alternative to Google AdWords, making the popular social network a strong competitor to Google in this area as well.
Already the first customers to use the new Atlas platform are Pepsi and Intel, which come from the recent multi-million dollar deal between Facebook and the Omnicom group.
