Wireshark thetraffic on a computer network, is now available in version 1.21.1.
The Wireshark developers have released a small update for the app, which fixes several issues. There are no new features, as it is an upgrade version, but users should install it nonetheless.
According to the changelog, Wireshark no longer hangs during remote capture (rpcap), 802.11 capture now decrypts/decodes DHCP response, the progress bar in the “VOIP RTP Player” now works properly, a parsing error in the MIPv6 Service Selection Identifier has been fixed, 802.11 BA with sequence number decoding has been fixed, OAM Ethernet (CFM) Frames including TLV are no longer decoded incorrectly, and the issue with MAC addresses has been resolved.
The application allows inspection of hundreds of protocols, live recording and offline analysis, multi-platform support, powerful display filters, on-the-fly decompression for gzip packets, and decryption support for many protocols, including IPsec, ISAKMP, Kerberos, SNMPv3, SSL/TLS, WEP, and WPA/WPA2.
