Recognizing that the vast majority of young people make their first… moves online, Facebook now gives them the option to “complete” their flirtation by asking their boyfriend or girlfriend out on a date. Certainly, with its new application, Facebook is untying the hands of its users who have a problem with… direct contact, while preventing them from facing their weakness.
The button will appear on the profile of each user's friends who do not disclose their personal information. By clicking on it, the user will be able to find out about the personal status of a friend, while also asking them about… a date. The owner of the profile in question will not be able to see the button on their page, which will be visible only to the user who is interested in finding out information about them.
A prerequisite will of course be that the two people are friends, as the application does not allow the use of the button between strangers. If the recipient decides to respond to the… interested party, then the notification will not be made public, but exclusively to the person who asked the question. What remains to be seen is whether the new application will be crowned with success, or whether Facebook users will consider the “Ask” to be excessive.
