The commercial “participates” in an iPhone 5S and a (much inferior in tech specs) Nokia Lumia 635.The protagonist of the commercial specifically “asks” the two virtual assistants to carry out certain tasks, such as reminding him of his wife’s anniversary or finding the nearest florist. Cortana seems to respond perfectly and with particular joy, in contrast to Siri, which appears unable to communicate with the user. This commercial has a dose of truth, as it has been proven in a series of tests that Microsoft’s virtual assistant (in addition to predicting football matches) excels in the reminders set by the user, while at the same time it can make suggestions that make things easier for the user.
At the end of the commercial, Siri essentially admits defeat, stating that “this is a smartphone” for the Lumia 635! There is no doubt that Microsoft is trying to overemphasize Cortana’s features, as it is one of the strong features of the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system.
