According to a survey conducted by Google, 90% of people who use the Internet are unaware of a very basic function.
As it turns out, the keyboard shortcut Control+F is something unknown to most people!
The case caught Google's attention when a bus driver was asked to find a specific passage of text on a website.
The driver began scrolling down (i.e. slowly lowering the sidebar) looking for the excerpt and when asked "why don't you use CTRL+F" she replied that she didn't know what that meant.
Google research showed that 9 out of 10 people don't know how to find something using this combination, and have never thought that such a thing could exist. What's truly surprising is that even some tech-savvy people seem to be unaware of this basic function.
