Google has released an updated version of the Gmail for Android, which will gradually become available to users worldwide, via the Google Play Store.
According to the official changelog, one of the most important features of version 4.8 of the application is the ability to save attached files directly to GoogleDrive.
So, instead of downloading the attached documents to your phone, you will now be able to save them to Google Drive and then access them from your smartphone, tablet or computer, whenever you want.
In addition, the updated version comes with another new feature, and every time you receive a spam message, corresponding notifications will appear informing you why the email ended up in the spam folder.
The update also brings improved support for Arabic, Hebrew, and Persian, making it easier for speakers of these languages to read from right to left.
Finally, Google confirms that with the latest version of Gmail, users will have faster access to the navigation menu, with a simple swipe of their finger from left to right.
This update may not be immediately available to all Android users, as Google noted that the new features will be rolled out gradually over the coming days.
