Incapsula: DDoS Trends 2014 – Botnet Activity Has Increased by 240%

A report on DDoS which provides many important facts about DDoS attacks in 2013 and early 2014.

When we started working on this report in January, our goal was to provide a 2013 recap of DDoS attack trends. However, the attackers had other plans. And so, as soon as we finished the report, we began to address new types of DDoS events that were too significant to ignore.

With this new information, we went back to our drawing boards and started the research again, almost from scratch. The result is an updated picture of DDoSas they exist today. A report that analyzes many of the prominent DDoS trends, while also exploring some lesser-known aspects of DDoS activity.
