Starting July 1, Microsoft , through its security products, will immediately block any adware program it detects and then give the user the option of a possible rollback.
Adware of malware programs that promote advertising material to users, which in most cases is unwanted.
To date, Microsoft security products, such as Security Essentials and Forefront, detect such programs and then notify the user.
The notification allows you to choose between specific actions to handle such a program.
However, if the user does not respond, then the security program will allow the adware to "run" normally until the user decides how to deal with it.
Microsoft chose to give a period of time for the implementation of the new adware application handling, so that there is time for developers to adapt to the new data.
In this context, from July 1st,advertisements of this type will be able to include a visible way to terminate the program.
Also, the program that uses such ads should provide the user with an uninstall method, using exactly the same file name as the one that appears in the ads it generates.
Otherwise, adware applications will be automatically blocked by installed Microsoft security programs.
