Tech giant Google has made a new investment in Europe, signing a 10-year contract to fully utilize the energy production of four wind farms being built in Sweden by Eolus. The wind farms are expected to be ready by 2015 and will consist of 29 wind turbines with a capacity of 59 megawatts.

However, this is not Google 's first investment in wind energy. The giant has also entered into a similar agreement with Scandinavian company O2, which concerns the exploitation of energy produced by a wind farm in northern Sweden.

The internet giant is making investments in renewable energy sources over the past years, in an effort to power the data centers it maintains in Finland with green energy.
