It was just a few days ago when Google announced the acquisition of Nest, and now it seems that the company has made another investment, in Impermium.
The company was founded three years ago and aims to make the Internet safer. It offers a risk assessment platform to help identify malicious registrations and risky transactions.
“By joining Google, our team will merge with some of the best abuse fighters in the world. By combining our talents, we will be able to advance our mission and help make the Internet safer,” said Mark Risher, CEO and co-founder of Impermium.
"When we founded Impermium three years ago, our mission was to help rid the internet of spam, fraud, and abuse. As sites gain in popularity, criminals lurk, and Imperium has worked hard to defend some of the largest and fastest-growing sites," the statement said.
The acquisition of this business makes sense for Google, which has done its best to increase security on its platform.
After joining Google, Impermium will cease providing services to third-party websites.
