At 10 am on Tuesday, the new customs information system "ICISnet" will be put into operation, and yesterday at 3:00 pm the current "ICIS" system was taken out of operation, in order to transfer data related to customs documents.
Until the launch of "ICISnet", the placement of goods under any customs regime will be possible exclusively in exceptional cases (e.g. perishable products) using a manual procedure.
According to the Ministry of Finance, "the use of the system by customs authorities is a milestone in achieving the ultimate goal of electronic customs, to the extent that it establishes as a new form of communication between customs and the recipients of customs services the exchange of electronic messages for the processing of all procedures.".
