After paper heroes, Disney now specializes in paper energy. Specifically, Disney Research has developed a revolutionary new technology that generates energy from rubbing a sheet of paper.
The idea is based on the use of electrets, materials with a semi-permanent electrical charge, and in the future, as the company states, it may lead to the printing of interactive books where the user will interact with their pages.
In the video published by the company, it presents a sheet of paper with electrically conductive ink which, in combination with a negatively charged polytetrafluoroethylene sheet, generates energy.
