Apple celebrates its 50th anniversary with an animated homepage

As part of its 50th anniversary celebrations, Apple today updated its website homepage with a special animated video showcasing some of the company's most iconic creations.

The cartoon-style animated image depicts the original Mac, iMac, iPod, App Store, Watch, iPhone 17 Pro, Vision Pro, and more, all in an iconic cartoon style.

Today is April 1, which marks exactly 50 years since the partnership between Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, with all operations and manufacturing taking place in the Jobs family garage. Apple Computer Inc. will be officially incorporated next year.

While Apple doesn't usually look back and reflect, the company made a rare exception for this major milestone. It has hosted celebratory concerts at Apple Store locations around the world in recent weeks, including a private concert with Paul McCartney at Apple Park.
