The first official Facebook for Windows 8 was released on October 17, the same day that Microsoft introduced the final version of Windows 8.1 to the market.
Two weeks later, Facebook has become one of the most successful listings in the Windows Store, and is the top choice among free apps.
The Facebook app, which works exclusively with Windows 8.1, has received a total of 5,731 reviews, with an overall rating of four stars.
In this way, Facebook managed to beat out several popular Metro apps, including Six Guns, Netflix, Skype, and Where's My Water? 2, which held the top spots in the Windows Store for many weeks after the public release of Windows 8.
