Responsiveness issues on the Facebook platform

Facebook 's service has been experiencing some issues and users are reporting that they are unable to share on the platform.

The issue appears to be affecting a large number of users, with more and more reporting their problems via Twitter. The issue has also spread to the social networking service's mobile app, where users were also unable to post.

When they tried to post something, such as a status update on their personal profile, a notification would appear that said: "There was a problem updating your status. Please try again in a few minutes."

Usually, when Facebook has a problem, it doesn't even display the message, it just never finishes loading the page. Other users report that their messages were posted, but then suddenly disappeared. There was also a problem with accepting likes, as well as updating personal information, passwords, and photos.

The service has confirmed the problem with a statement to CNET:

"Earlier this morning, while performing some network maintenance, there was an issue that prevented posting for some users for a short period of time. The issue was resolved quickly and we are now back to 100%. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.".

It appears that the problem has been fixed, at least for personal accounts, but Facebook Pages continue to face some issues.

Are you having any problems with the service?
