A post from 9to5Mac reports that Apple has moved forward with hiring Ben Shaffer, head of design at Nike in the Innovation Kitchen department, the space where research and development of new products and ideas takes place in the company.
As you have already realized, Shaffer's role at Apple must be related to the rumored iWatch. After all, he is not the first person who has collaborated with Nike that is coming to Apple, since a few weeks ago we learned that Jay Blahnik is also a member of the iWatch team. The latest product from Shaffer at Nike is the Flyknit shoe. It is very likely that Apple is working on other products besides the wristwatch, but so far there is no such information.
Nike has confirmed that Shaffer no longer works at the company.
