Demand for the AirPods Pro 3 was so strong after their launch in September last year that Apple CEO Tim Cook said the company was caught off guard.

“AirPods Pro 3 had limited availability during the quarter, and we believe we would have increased sales year-over-year had we not had these limitations,” Cook told The Wall Street Journal, in a report published alongside Apple’s record revenue for the fourth quarter of calendar year 2025.
