Omniscient and omnipresent, how can you not love that?
Is "Google" the new god? At least that's what the followers of a new religion claim, who - as you already understood - worship the popular search engine as a deity!
We are talking, of course, about America, where new cults are literally springing up and causing the foundations of traditional religions to shake with tremors.
The newly founded Church of Google therefore quite logically believes that the electronic machine that knows everything is the closest thing to the true god, the biggest step that humanity has ever taken in the direct and intuitive approach to the supreme being.
And not only that, but with the "luminous omniscient" of Google at the tip of their cult spear, believers consider the divinity of the search engine to be undeniable and clearly more manifest than any other incarnation of god in traditional doctrines.
Despite the annoying detail that the internet giant is a human creation(!), the faithful of the Church of Google provide articles of faith that aim to circumvent the human nature of the machine, letting its divinity shine through.
And that's because Google is omnipresent. Why? Because with smartphones you always carry it with you! Not to mention that it also has the largest body of knowledge the world has ever measured, which it shares benevolently and selflessly with all of humanity, regardless of faith, race, or class.
As for the data that continues to live on in Google's Cloud service after our death, for the faithful of the Church this is the closest thing we have to an afterlife. And of course Google is immortal, as it is hosted on many, many servers, and will continue to exist after our own demise.
