Google is expanding the Google Call Recording feature to Pixel 6 and later devices , which do not support the Call Notes feature with Gemini Nano technology, found in the Phone app on Pixel 9 and 10.
Google first announced the expansion of Call Recording in September. According to Android Authority, the feature should be available after updating the Phone by Google and installing the November Pixel Drop update.

The Call Notes uses artificial intelligence to transcribe phone calls and create summaries that highlight key points and “next steps” on Pixel 9 and above. However, Google Call Recording, which can be enabled by going to Settings > Call Assistance > Call Recording in the Phone app, simply creates audio files that are stored on your device and you’ll need to transcribe them through other apps or services.

Google Call Recording – Pixel: How recordings work
Recordings can be started manually at the beginning of a call, but in the Phone app settings, you can choose to automatically record calls from a list of specific numbers or for calls not in your contacts. Recordings can be set to automatically delete after 7, 14, or 30 days, or you can choose to keep them all forever.
After you enable Call Recording, you'll need to download some audio files that notify everyone on the call that they're being recorded. You'll set this up during your first call, when Google explains how recordings are managed and stored.

While Pixel 6 and later devices require Android 14 or later to use Call Recording, non-Pixel devices with the Phone app only require Android 9 or later.
