Samsung is finally ready to reveal more details about its “Project Moohan ,” its new mixed reality headset. The company has announced a new Galaxy event titled ‘ Worlds Wide Open ’, which will take place on October 21 at 10 p.m. ET, where it promises to reveal more details about the device.
The headset will run on Android XR, a new mixed reality platform developed by Samsung, Google, and Qualcomm. Samsung says it's "designed to scale across multiple forms, bringing artificial intelligence to the center of everyday, immersive experiences."

Project Moohan: New experiences

The announcement of the new event and Project Moohan comes at a crucial time. Rival Apple is reportedly close to releasing a new version of its Vision Pro headset powered by a faster processor. A headset that appears to be the new Vision Pro has also appeared in FCC filings. However, Apple may be starting to look beyond the headset to a new type of product. It appears to have sidelined work on a lighter version of the Vision Pro to prioritize development of smart glasses.
