How many of us are true YouTube Music fans, and how many of us just use it because we want YouTube Premium, signed up before the Premium Lite , and now we don't bother to change anything? Whatever your reason for using it, Google has given subscribers plenty of reasons to be happy lately, with the arrival of new features like lyric sharing and the ability to view offline lyrics for your saved songs.

Now we have a new feature to share with you — and this time, it's not about lyrics!
Your Google Account makes it easy to access YouTube Music across all your devices, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the transition between them has always been seamless. While we've been able to keep track of what we're listening to as we move from phone to tablet to computer and back, until now YouTube Music hasn't offered an easy way to stop listening on one device and pick up right where you left off on another.

With the update to version 8.26.51 (which began rolling out to devices earlier this month), we're now seeing progress bars showing listening activity on other devices connected to the same account — as seen in some of the entries in the Speed dial section above. Tapping on one of these now reveals a new "Resume" option, allowing you to resume playback from where you left off.

This is a feature we've been waiting for for a long time. And while it won't convince anyone to switch to YouTube Music — as it still doesn't compare to Spotify Connect — it might at least make you think twice before ditching it for a competing service.
