The Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro shares many of the same features as the recently announced XCover 7 Pro, but it also offers some unique features. The hot-swappable dual battery allows employees to swap out one of the tablet’s batteries without turning it off. There’s also a Battery-Free mode , which allows it to operate without a battery (albeit with performance limitations) when connected to a dedicated 21W (9V 2.3A) or higher power source . The tablet can also be charged via a POGO dock (in addition to the USB-C port, which supports USB 3.2), which is useful in the workplace for charging multiple devices simultaneously. The 10,100mAh battery is also fully user-replaceable.
For its specifications, the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro features a 10.1-inch WUXGA TFT LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate, 16:10 aspect ratio, 600nits brightness, and support for 2mm leather gloves. The tablet is powered by the processor on 4nm and is available in RAM and storage combinations of 6GB with 128GB and 8GB with 256GB. Additionally, it supports microSD cards for expandability up to 2TB. The device features a 12MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and an 8MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture.

There are even more features to discuss. The tablet offers Wi-Fi and 5G (Sub6) options and supports dual SIM. For protection, the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro is water and dust resistant, with an IP68 rating and has undergone MIL-STD-810H testing. The display is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Plus, and the tablet has been tested for disinfectants, ensuring that the display does not deteriorate from constant cleaning in medical environments.
Additionally, the Tab Active 5 Pro features an S Pen (which has its own IP68 certification), a fingerprint sensor, a programmable Active Key (as well as navigation buttons on the periphery), and Dolby Atmos via its dual stereo speakers. The tablet also introduces front-facing NFC Tagging, allowing it to be used as a mobile point-of-sale system in retail stores. It also supports wired DeX. To complete the experience, it also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack.
