Hayate's defense attorney, Sakis Kechagioglou, publicly expressed his satisfaction with the court's decision and the acquittal of his client. "I express my particular joy and satisfaction for his acquittal, since I defended him together with my distinguished colleagues Vasilis Chronopoulos and Anastasia Kerchanatzidou. The outrageous and outrageous accusation he faced for human trafficking, after a thorough and thorough hearing, collapsed before the Mixed Jury Court."
Mr. Kechagioglou also spoke about the unfair detention of YouTuber Hayate last year: "This also demonstrates how unfair his temporary detention for a year was. This decision proves once again that when the courts examine and decide based solely on the material in the case files and are not influenced by the "circulating atmosphere", "so-called public opinion", "tele-courts" and indirect blackmail, only then is Justice served.

It is recalled that the 36-year-old YouTuber was accused of accepting "orders", in return for payment, to abuse people with mental disabilities by livestreaming.
The chronicle of the Hayate case
The well-known YouTuber Hayate was arrested at noon on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, in an area of Attica, as there were charges against him for human trafficking and physical harm to weak people (with the aggravating circumstance of the article on crimes with racist characteristics due to disability).
According to the charges at the time, from January 3, 2023 to February 6, 2024, “Hayate” had repeatedly engaged in abusive behavior that included insults, physical harm, and sexual acts against people with disabilities due to mental retardation. He even broadcast the above on both YouTube and TikTok , with his viewers paying for the unacceptable spectacle.

Following complaints, Police Officers from the Racist Violence Department of the State Security Sub-Directorate went to “Hayate’s” home, where a search was conducted. As part of the search, seven hard drives and four mobile phones were seized, while he himself was arrested.

At least since January 2023, the now innocent Hayate maintained a profile on a social networking platform, using a pseudonym, in which he broadcast live abusive behavior against people with mental retardation.
At that time, the YouTuber had stated in his apology that he regretted and claimed that he understood his mistake and that is why he stopped producing and showing videos with degrading behaviors against people with disabilities. At that time, it was also said that the YouTuber claimed that he knew that these were people with a disability, but that they were not unaccountable. He allegedly knew that his act was morally reprehensible, and nevertheless filmed the people because he believed that they had financial benefit, recognition and had gained followers. Hayate had also denied that any of his videos contained a minor.
However, it seems that the lack of sufficient evidence allowed Hayate to be acquitted and set free again.
