A Weibo leaker says that Apple is going to "significantly change" the design of the iPhone this year.

In a new post, a user named “Digital Chat Station” said that the iPhone design is “starting to change” this year. The “iPhone 17 Air” is expected to have a “horizontal, bar-shaped” design on the back, which will likely be related to the camera system. The Pro models will also change.

Last week, leaker Jon Prosser leaked a render of the iPhone 17 Pro. According to it, the three rear cameras will be placed in a familiar triangular arrangement, but around them will be an all-new rectangular frame, extending across the top and back of the device. It is believed that the new ultra-thin “iPhone 17 Air” will also feature a horizontal frame around the rear cameras.
Rumors about the design changes of the new iPhones have been circulating since November 2024. At that time, it was said that the back of the iPhone 17 Pro models will feature a new aluminum and glass design. The top will be made of aluminum and will feature a “rectangular camera bump made of aluminum rather than traditional 3D glass.” The bottom half will continue to be made of glass to support wireless charging. This new aluminum camera bump will also be larger than that of previous models.

The account has previously posted accurate information about the iPhone 12 mini’s display, the iPhone 15’s upgraded sensor, and the iPhone 16 Pro’s size increases. The iPhone 17 series is expected to debut in the fall of 2025. Until then, more rumors about the new phones are sure to circulate.

With each new release, Apple tries to push the boundaries of what is possible and offer an excellent user experience. The new iPhone design could be a testament to this dedication, as Apple works to create a device that not only looks beautiful but also performs at its best.
