Zoom's new update with artificial intelligence (AI) brings significant features and improvements, enhancing the user experience.
Zoom, like many big tech companies, is getting into the AI space. This week, the company announced Zoomtopia 2024 and showcased its new innovations in Zoom Workplace and Zoom Business Services, which are aimed at improving team communication and productivity.

One of the main new features is Zoom AI Companion 2.0, which offers more interaction capabilities. This AI Companion will remain in the Zoom Workplace window, having a better understanding of the content the user is viewing and previous conversations, offering intelligent suggestions and responses.
Additionally, the AI Companion will pull information from Microsoft Outlook, Gmail, Google Calendar , and other files to help users summarize content. It will have the ability to track and complete actions across different tasks in Zoom Workplace and search for information in real time.
AI Companion 2.0 will be available for free next month for users who already have a Zoom Workplace account. Zoom also introduced a new optional add-on that offers a personalized AI Companion experience.

Additionally, it announced a new Tasks feature, which helps users identify and complete tasks. Finally, Zoom is introducing an AI Companion feature for in-person meetings, providing summaries and action items through the Zoom Workplace app.
