The new television season begins with COSMOTE TV hosting for another year the biggest award ceremonies in the field of cinema, music and the "small screen". The beginning will be with the ceremonyof one 76th EMMY Awards ,the largest television institutions in the world, which honors the best performances and series that stand out every year. The glamorous evening will be broadcast live in the early hours of Monday 16/9 (03.00) on COSMOTE CINEMA 2HD, with commentary by Iosifina Grivea. On Monday evening (16/9) at 22.00, the ceremony will be broadcast with Greek subtitles on the same channel (COSMOTE CINEMA 2HD).
EMMY Awards : 11 nominations for series airing on COSMOTE TV
Series available on COSMOTE TV are "running" in this year's EMMY Awards "race", participating with a total of 11 nominations in key categories.
The most nominations belong to the 5thseason of Noah Hawley's "Fargo", which is up for 6 main awards in the "Miniseries or Anthology" category: Best Series, Best Actor (Jon Hamm), Best Actress (Juno Temple), Best Supporting Actor (Lamorne Morris), Best Director and Best Screenplay.
In the "Mini-Series or Anthology" category, the romantic period drama " Fellow Travelers " is also competing, claiming the awards for Best Actor (Matt Bomer), Best Supporting Actor (Jonathan Bailey) and Best Screenplay (Ron Naiswaner). The subversive talk show of the 28th EMMY " Last Week Tonight With John Oliver " is nominated in the category of Scripted Variety Series. At the same time, the 96thceremony OSCARS ® , which was broadcast live and exclusively by COSMOTE TV in Greece, is claiming the award for Best Screenplay in a Variety Special.
