The Vivo X100 series has now arrived in Europe, nearly three months after its Chinese debut. During that time, the Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro have arrived in India, starting at INR 63,999 (~$770) and INR 89,999 (~$1,083) respectively. Surprisingly, the Vivo X100 Pro is significantly more expensive in Europe than in India, despite having the same general hardware base.

Specifically, Vivo has priced its latest flagship at €1,199, which converts to $1,299 at current exchange rates, including taxes. In other words, the Vivo X100 Pro costs almost as much as every top Android model, barring the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Instead, Vivo has positioned the X100 Pro closer to the Galaxy S24 Plus, with an additional €50 charge over Samsung that includes 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
However, while Vivo equips the X100 Pro with high-quality hardware, such as a MediaTek Dimensity 9300, LPDDR5T RAM, 100W wired charging, and a 1/0.98-inch main camera, it can't compete with Google, Samsung, and its rivals in terms of software support. According to Vivo, the X100 Pro will receive three major Android OS upgrades from version 14 onwards and comes with a three-year warranty.

Similarly, Vivo's European launch is limited to Austria and Czech Republic, the preferred name for the Czech Republic. Additionally, the company appears to have decided not to sell the X100 as well. Other changes for the X100 Pro include unspecified improvements to the camera setup and more diverse bandwidth, as well as a built-in eSIM for all SKUs.
Based on initial consumer feedback, it appears that the Vivo X100 Pro has been well-received in Europe. Many users are expressing their enthusiastic support for the camera quality and battery performance. In addition, consumers appreciate the phone's durable construction and excellent display quality.
