The big moment is approaching: On March 21st, Horizon Forbidden West arrives on PC to impress gamers.
PC gamers who have been patiently awaiting the arrival of Horizon Forbidden West on their platform of choice now have a date to mark on their calendars: the action-adventure sequel is coming to Steam and the Epic Games Store in Complete Edition on March 21st.
Horizon Forbidden West, which continues the adventures of protagonist Aloy in a world full of romantic robots, was originally released for PS4 and PS5 in February 2022, with the Burning Shores expansion coming the following year.

As it turns out, the Complete Edition (which was released for PlayStation last October) includes the base game and expansion along with various in-game items. These include an exclusive pose and face paint for Photo Mode, plus four items that can be unlocked through progressing through the story: the Carja Behemoth Elite outfit and Short Bow, the Nora Thunder Elite outfit and Sling, the Apex Clawstrider Machine Strike piece, and a resource pack that includes bullets, filters, and travel packs.
Additionally, pre-ordering the Complete Edition for PC grants the Blacktide Outfit and Bow, while the Nora Legacy Outfit and Spear will be unlocked when you link a Steam account to PlayStation.
As for the PC-specific tweaks, they've now been detailed (and condensed into a trailer, which you can find above) on the PlayStation Blog. The PC version, which was developed by Nixxes Software in collaboration with Guerrilla Games, includes "unlocked frame rates, customizable graphics settings, and a wide range of performance-enhancing technologies." It supports upscaling and frame generation using Nvidia DLSS 3, as well as Nvidia DLAA, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS. It also uses DirectStorage on compatible PCs for faster load times.

Elsewhere, there's support for 21:9 ultra-wide, 32:9 super ultra-wide, and 48:9 aspect ratios, as well as triple-monitor compatibility. Customizable mouse and keyboard controls are on display, while controller options include the PlayStation DualSense - so you can take advantage of its adaptive scroll wheels - as well as Steam Input support for customizing and customizing your chosen peripheral.
Sony has yet to reveal the system requirements for Horizon Forbidden West on PC, but says it will share them closer to its March 21st release on Epic and Steam.
