Red Dead Redemption 2 players are adding car mods to the game, saying it's essentially GTA 6

Red Dead Redemption 2 with modern vehicles is probably the most damning thing to come out this week, although it's also kind of cool..
“Thank God there are mods”
A good number of mods can completely change a game forever and sometimes turn it into a completely new game. Since Rockstar Games has flatly refused to add much new content to Red Dead Redemption 2, the task of updating and improving the Western-themed video game has been taken up by modders.

Such a change is apparently the closest thing we'll get to playing GTA VI before it releases next year, and it's just the regular Red Dead Redemption 2 game but with working cars.
I'm sure I don't need to explain how incredibly fucked up this is. Watching Arthur Morgan (the protagonist in RDR2) drive a sports car in the desert must be unrealistic, but also kind of heartbreaking. The Reddit user who showed this atrocity, PsychologicalMight26, made the bold statement saying, "Just add vehicle mods to Red Dead Redemption 2 and that's a GTA VI prototype right there."

Of course, there's going to be a bit more to Rockstar's next game than that, but they're not entirely unfair. Red Dead Redemption was a huge step up from GTA V in terms of open-world size, detail, and other graphical improvements. From what we saw in the latest trailer, GTA VI will be another step up in quality, featuring a world the size of a US state and featuring the most advanced artificial intelligence a video game has ever seen.
The game is set to release on an unannounced date in 2025, and of course player anxiety has reached such heights that they are now adding modern technology to Red Dead Redemption 2 just to get an idea of what GTA VI should look and play like.
It's a shame that players can't add modern medical technology to save Arthur at the end of the game's story though..
