In Season 3 of Diablo 4, the adventure reignites with the Seneschal Companion, unfolding a story of magic and challenges.
Blizzard recently revealed Diablo 4 Season 3 – or Season of the Construct. The major update will launch on January 23rd, introducing a new scenario, nanny-style Vaults, and a powerful technology called the Loom.
However, the Loom isn't the only piece of tech that will allow players to gain more power. Season 3 also promises to introduce a robotic friend, the Seneschal Companion.Magical Governing and Tuning Stones will be used to enhance the mechanical robot's skills. While there's still a lot to learn about the companion, a Blizzard developer has shared more details.

Responding to fan questions, D4 class designer Sean White – also known as Lupgaron on Twitter/X – explained how scaling will work for the Seneschal Companion in Season 3.
The developer noted that the bot's stats will scale 1:1 with the player's. Therefore, "Your attack is his attack. Your critical is his critical, etc.".
When asked if this level of scaling applies to traits, unique damage buffs, factor nodes, and the like, the designer explained that the Seneschal will inherit a user's base stat boost and bonus damage effect. White continued by saying, "However, the Seneschal does not activate your passive effects, such as legendary/factorial, etc."

The responses to White's comments indicate that players are hoping that Diablo 4 will receive the same attention as the new robotic companions. One user commented: "Damn, give the necromancer's minions some love too!"
Someone on a Reddit had the same thought, writing: "Okay fine - let's do this with the necromancer's minions so it's a feasible build path."

Considering the recent uproar surrounding end-game necromancer builds, the introduction of the Seneschal Companion could cause some disruption.
