Details Announced for the OnePlus Ace 3 Screen Before the Official Launch

OnePlus Ace 3: Impressive Display with Bezels Disappearing

The OnePlus Ace 3 is already promoting its upcoming premium mid-range smartphone with its top-of-the-line display. Now, the company has begun teasing the display’s “ultra-narrow” bezels ahead of its official unveiling in January 2024. It’s claimed that these will be less than 2 millimeters (2mm) at the bottom of the panel and even less at the sides.

The OnePlus Ace 3 is already rumored to launch with a 1.5K version of the company's latest BOE 8T display . Now, the company has decided not to wait until its upcoming launch to reveal that the same panel will be an "ultra-narrow bezel" display.

This will be achieved, it seems, with sides that are just 1.36mm deep, managing to even surpass the Meizu 21 and Xiaomi 14 in these terms. In contrast, the bottom of the OnePlus Ace 3 may seem thicker in comparison, as the company has reduced the dimensions of this bezel to 1.94mm.

Additionally, it should be noted that OnePlus appears less enthusiastic about attracting similar attention to the top of the Ace 3, perhaps because the shrunken bezel in this area makes its corners even more noticeable. However, the smartphone is now also said to give the feel of a flagship model from every angle, with a metal mid-frame that matches the new rear panel experience.

Additionally, OnePlus also revealed that its display will be upgraded to Gorilla Glass Victus 2, as well as a potentially super-accurate fingerprint sensor. The Ace 3 is also said to come with “practical” perks like “dual-frequency GPS and tri-frequency Beidou” for location accuracy, and a version of ColorOS that will receive 3 major Android updates in 4 years.

The Ace 3's "all-encompassing stance" towards a "flagship-like experience" will translate into its likely global rebranded 12R release alongside the OnePlus Ace 12 flagship in early 2024.
