LinkedIn down: Thousands of users were unable to connect to the platform

users were left frustrated after the site experienced an outage this morning. According to DownDetector, over 1,500 LinkedIn users reported issues with the site.

LinkedIn users who tried to log in to accounts in the morning hours were unable to do so, as the website experienced operational problems. As DownDetector showed, users reported connection problems on the platform. About 88% of the problems concerned its website.

Some users took to social media to report that they had been temporarily locked out of their accounts.

The areas with the highest concentration of problem reports submitted by users over the past 24 hours include many areas of the UK, most notably London and Manchester.

It is common for some issues to be reported during the day . However, Downdetector only reports incidents that have a number of issue reports that are significantly higher than the typical volume for that time of day.

LinkedIn users have taken to social media to express their frustration since morning.

Someone posted on X saying, “Hey, LinkedIn is down?”

A second added: “I believe your platform has been down for at least 15 minutes #LinkedInDown. Could you please update your status page?”

Reports of issues began to decrease on DownDetector after the morning outage. LinkedIn has yet to publicly address the issues.

To address the issue, LinkedIn likely took a number of steps. First, the technical support team worked to identify the cause of the outage. By analyzing systems and processes, they tried to identify any errors or issues that could have caused the platform to fail.

Additionally, LinkedIn will need to work with its service providers to increase its server capacity and improve platform performance. This may include adding new servers or upgrading existing ones.
