The September update for Xbox will begin rolling out this week, Microsoft has confirmed, giving all users access to a number of features previously only available to Xbox Insiders – including Xbox voice reporting and the ability to stream gameplay from Xbox One and Series X/S devices directly to Discord.

Those interested in streaming games will first need to connect their Discord account to their console. Then, through the wizard, they will be able to select the “Discord” option from the ‘Parties & chats’ menu, choose a server, and directly share their gameplay after entering a voice channel with their friends.
Voice reporting on Xbox, another feature that allows players to easily record a 60-second video of an in-game voice adventure that they believe violates Xbox Community Standards and submit it as evidence for review.
Elsewhere, the September update brings new variable refresh rate options to the Xbox Series X/S – adding the ability to set the feature as Always On, Gaming Only, or Off in the console's "General > TV & display options > Video" menu – and there's a new My Rewards tab on Xbox as well.
Also for Xbox, there's an easier way to connect accessories – via the Xbox Accessories app and the 'Connect a Device' option – as well as new wishlist settings, which give users the ability to enable notifications when items on their wishlist are released, when they become available on sale, or when they appear on Game Pass.

Finally, on PC, Microsoft has updated the Xbox app with new features and the promise of faster performance. There are also updates to the Library – which includes filters for Installed, Owned and In Game Pass titles – as well as a collapsible Play Later list and a new centralized settings menu for the Installation queue.
