Following last week's blog post announcing a list of updates and improvements to Diablo 4 after consecutive open beta weekends, today Blizzard announced a third and final beta weekend where each of those changes will already be implemented.

Speaking on livestream , the Diablo 4 developers said that the “server slam,” which is intended to test the team’s servers in hopes of a stable launch day for the action RPG, will take place over the weekend of May 12, starting at 12 p.m. PST on Friday and ending at 12 p.m. PST on Sunday. Unfortunately, players who participated in the first two weekends of the beta will find their characters deleted, as promised, and progress made in this final test will also not carry over to the final game.
During this latest beta, players will reach a maximum level of 20 instead of 25, designed as an extra challenge to face the world boss, Ashava, who will reward those who defeat her during the server slam with an exclusive cosmetic mount in the full game.

But the level cap and new rewards aren't the only changes, as a whole host of updates, including balance improvements for character classes and improved dungeon layout, will already be present in this early look.
The necromancer has seen the most significant adjustments to the character class, with reductions to his undead minions (which now die faster) and corpse explosions (which now deal less damage). To better align with their demon-slaying counterparts, certain classes, including barbarians, have gained bonuses. This affects the barbarian in a number of positive ways, including a 10% reduction in damage taken from all sources.
Dungeons will undergo changes that will make objectives easier to accomplish without tedious, time-consuming backtracking, and there will be more special events that occasionally appear unexpectedly while exploring a dungeon.
The server slam will be open to all players across all platforms and will feature couch co-op for consoles. If you haven't yet begun your crusade against the daughter of hate, you'll have another chance in a few weeks.
