For years, Snapchat has given you the opportunity to experiment with lipstick shades, hats, and clothing from major retailers. But now, this experience is available in other apps too! With Snapchat’s powerful features at your fingertips, try on these looks without even leaving the app.
Snap recently launched AR Enterprise Services (ARES), an innovative business unit that provides retailers with cutting-edge tools to enable consumers to try on clothing, jewelry and other products from numerous brands from the comfort of their own home.
ARES is designed to help retailers increase conversions and reduce return rates through augmented reality shopping tools. This is in addition to the tools included in its first solution – the “Shopping Suite” – which is geared towards retailers in industries such as fashion, apparel, accessories and home furnishings.

The Shopping Suite includes virtual try-on capabilities that allow customers to try on products like clothing, sunglasses, and shoes. They can upload a photo of themselves to see how they would look or interact with AR experiences to see how the product would look on their body in real time.

In addition to these features, customers can take advantage of a tool that provides sizing advice tailored specifically to their shape and size. Additionally, with the 3D Viewer feature, shoppers can discover unique details about products from different angles.
The Shopping Suite also includes the Enterprise Manager Backend system, which Snap says will make it easier for businesses to use Snap's software development kits, allowing them to create AR experiences and even check real-time performance analytics.

To date, Snap has seen notable success with its Shopping Suite feature, which is now used by over 300 customers. Goodr, Princess Polly , and Gobi Cashmere are some of the retailers benefiting from this innovative approach to e-commerce.
In December, Snap stated its goal to help creators monetize their augmented reality (AR) features.
