If you’re an avid Snapchat user, then you know the importance of maintaining your “Snap Streaks.” For those who don’t know, a snap streak is when two people send each other snaps on a daily basis. The longer the streak lasts, the higher it ranks and the more points you can earn on your Snapchat profile.

The company now allows users to pause their Snap Streaks, so they don't have to worry about breaking them if they decide not to access the app for a while.

Snapchat will only allow users to pause one streak for free during this testing phase.
Snapchat has announced that it will soon offer the ability to purchase “Streak Restores” directly from its app. These restores cost 99c per pause in dollars and are available to all users – not just those with Snapchat+. With this new addition, people will now have to pay if they want to keep their streaks!
Last month, the social network added a chatbot to its paid plan powered by OpenAI 's GPT technology .
