After Riot Games' development environment was breached last week, the video game developer announced that it would be postponing upcoming patches. On Friday night, the Los Angeles-based game publisher made an announcement on Twitter, informing customers of a recent incident and assuring them that it would keep them updated on anything that might arise during its investigation.

“ This week, the systems development environment became vulnerable to a social engineering attack ,” the organization informed
“While we don't have all the answers yet, we wanted to let you know as soon as possible that there is no indication that data or personal information.“
Due to the breach, Riot Games was unable to release updates and patches for its games.
On Friday, the team behind League of Legends (LoL) and Teamfight Tactics (TFT), two hugely popular online games, confirmed the incident. The tweets also confirmed that future changes proposed for the games and the upcoming major patch will be further delayed.

Andrei van Roon, the head of League Studio, has made it clear that no part of LoL's Patch 13.2 release plan will be scrapped.
According to van Roon, the content of 13.2 will not be canceled, but will be moved to a later date if certain changes cannot be fixed immediately (for example, modifications to the art).
Last September, 2K Games suffered a major breach after its help desk was infiltrated by hackers and some of its customers were infected with malware. Following the September security breach, 2K sent an email to its users a month later to inform them that some of their data had unfortunately been stolen and put up for sale online.
