The company has called its new modular charger PairTree , and it's a portable solar dome with EV charging capabilities built in. It can be used off-grid, but can also be hooked up to a grid if you prefer.

PairTree is available in 5 kW units that use 10 double-sided solar panels each and can be customized with branding, lighting and multimedia options

The AC charging station provides charging , and 120V outlet panels can be added to support emergency or temporary power.

According to a 2022 McKinsey & Company, “On average, each person in the United States travels about 30 miles per day in a private vehicle.” PairTree is designed to optimize EV charging loads to provide up to 75 miles of daily range.

But PairTree supports the integration of up to 40 kWh batteries , which can extend the EV's provided daily range up to 230 miles.

Customers can pay using the Paired Powered app, which was developed with EvGateway , and the app also provides access to online support. Updates and diagnostics are performed remotely on EV chargers and solar.

PairTree can be installed in just four hours by two people.

It is a flexible plan that works in a variety of settings, such as locations that have either maxed out their local network capacity, or workplaces and locations that lease their property and don't want to invest in permanent infrastructure. PairTree can also provide emergency backup power and temporary power for specific events.

It features a steel foundation with ballast, which avoids costly foundation work and delays. It can be used in any climate and environment. PairTree offers additional options to secure the charger in high winds.
