Malzeno makes his debut in the Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Expansion. The monster is incredibly fast and deadly, easily catching the unsuspecting player. In addition to his teleportation moveset, this monster also introduces a brand new status, Bloodblight.
This reduces how much players are healed from potions and other external sources — but don't worry. By hitting Malzeno, you can heal some of the missing health, effectively mitigating the status damage.

Malzeno's weaknesses
Malzeno is weak against Dragon, Fire, and Ice weapons and ammo . And in that order of priority. This means that Dragon weapons will deal the most damage, Fire comes in second and Ice third. Avoid bringing Thunder and Water elemental weapons into your quest. For status, Iceblight and Blast seem to be the most effective against Malzeno.
As with most monsters, Malzeno's head is its weakest point . Try to focus your attacks on it to stun the monster and deal as much DPS as possible. But be careful. The monster's diving attacks are difficult to predict and could very well send you back to your home base.

Bloodblight makes the fight relatively difficult, as blindly attacking the monster has its drawbacks. Many players will find themselves wanting to join in for more DPS, as Bloodblight practically encourages players to do so. But try too hard while you 're low on health and you'll be punished. So understanding when to back off and use a potion is essential to mastering this fight - even though you'll be healing less from the status.

Malzeno is found in the Citadel and Shrine Ruins. It is important to note that this monster is only available in Master Rank. This means that Hunters will need to purchase the Sunbreak if they want to hunt it.

The monster's armor set
The Malzeno armor set is geared towards healing broken parts. It comes with points for Weakness Exploit, Wirebug Whisperer, Blood Rite , and Partbreaker.

The most notable ability is Blood Rite, which is new to the franchise. This converts a percentage of damage dealt into health when you hit a broken part of the monster. The higher the level of Bloodrite, the more healing is recovered.
