Back in 2020, Google released the revamped Google TV on Android. However, this release was not accompanied by an iOS. iOS users were stuck with the old Play Movies & TV. That seems to be changing now, as it was announced that the new revamped Google TV app is coming to iOS.

Google has announced the launch of the new Google TV app for iOS via a post. Users can download the app from the App Store. now Those who already have the Play Movies & TV app installed will be automatically updated to the new app.
“Starting today, you’ll also be able to download the Google TV app for iOS from the App Store. And if you already have the Play Movies & TV app for iOS, it will be updated to the new app Google TV,” wrote Hanwook Kim, Product Manager at Google.

Google TV essentially acts as a central hub for all your streaming needs. You can connect all the streaming services you 're currently subscribed to to the app and get personalized recommendations in one place. This makes things easier for you. It also has a Watchlist that lets you quickly save a show or movie you're interested in but can't watch at the moment.
The iOS version of Google TV has three tabs: Highlights, For you, and Your stuff. Highlights offers “a personalized daily feed of news, reviews, and more about the entertainment you love.” In the “For you” tab, you can find customized suggestions for your next binge-watching session.

Initially, the Google TV app only supported a few streaming apps. However, the app supports services like HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video, Discovery+, Cartoon Network, as well as live TV providers like YouTube TV, Philo, and fubo TV.
