Instagram is a great platform where we can share moments from our lives. However, sometimes we don't want those moments to stay on our profile forever. That's where Instagram Stories come in to help. There you can upload endless stories with edited photos and videos that show your followers exactly how you got to your favorite restaurant, what you ate, and how you got home. You post everything because you know that these Stories will disappear in 24 hours. So, they don't necessarily have to be high quality. Many influencers end up uploading too many stories in a day. It seems that Instagram is not a fan of this behavior, and it may be redefining what a Story is. The company is apparently testing a new layout in Brazil. It shows your followers only three of your Stories and hides the rest.

According to a Brazilian user, Instagram is testing a new Story layout. When someone posts too many Stories, the app will only show three of the Stories and hide the rest behind a Show All button. Aside from Brazil, it’s unclear which regions are part of this test. Additionally, we don’t know the percentage of users affected by this change.

If Instagram makes this layout on a wider scale, creators will have to be more selective when posting a Story. Otherwise, followers may not see everything. Ultimately, spammy Story feeds can discourage some users from clicking through to this section , and the company wouldn’t want that. Currently, users can post up to 100 Stories in a row. It remains unknown whether Instagram will change this limit as well.
