“Our participation in the Bloomberg Gender Equality Index confirms our commitment to equal participation of all and respect for diversity at OTE Group. We believe that we are all different and at the same time equal, which is why we continued to strengthen the culture of equality during the pandemic. In August 2021, we adopted a comprehensive Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Policy, while for the coming period, we are planning mentoring programs for the empowerment of women in the workplace, as well as educational programs for all employees.”, said Ms. Elena Papadopoulou, Chief Human Resources Officer of OTE Group. “Our desire is for everyone to feel their authentic “self” and to contribute, in their own way, to our common vision for creating a better world for all.”

The GEI aims to capture the performance of publicly traded companies committed to gender transparency and disclosure. The 2022 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index ratings are based on five pillars: women in leadership and talent acquisition, gender-neutral pay, inclusive culture, anti-sexual harassment policies, and women's empowerment. The GEI includes companies from 11 different sectors, including finance, technology, and utilities.
“We are honored to recognize OTE and the other 417 companies included in the GEI Index in 2022 for their commitment to transparency and setting a new standard for gender equality disclosure,” said Peter T. Grauer, Bloomberg President and Founder of the US 30% Club. “Although the Index’s inclusion threshold has been adjusted upward, the list of member companies continues to grow. This demonstrates that more and more companies are working to improve their gender equality performance and metrics, creating more career development opportunities for diverse talent.”.
