According to WCCFTech, Qualcomm plans to release the long-rumored Snapdragon 895 chip long before the first phone to feature it, which will be released in 2022. It seems that Qualcomm has not been disappointed at all by the ongoing chip shortage and is continuing vigorously with its strategy.

Additionally, there have also been some rumors that Samsung will pair the aforementioned Qualcomm chip with their own new generation Exynos, which is supposed to feature RDNA 2 graphics from AMD (this report came from NotebookCheck.net).

The rumored launch was first spotted on a Chinese website called GizChina. According to the site, it will come after another rumored chip that will appear in a new Lenovo phone: the SM8450. That aforementioned phone is also scheduled to launch next year.

Not many details have been released about the Qualcomm Snapdragon 895, although it is expected to be on the 4nm node. It will not be on TSMC's node, but on Samsung's. But until Qualcomm itself officially announces the part, it would be safe to assume that they are going to struggle to produce the "silicon" due to the ongoing chip shortage that is not going to stop anytime soon.
